Mokpo, South Korea

This weekend’s TCR action take place as Race 2 of the 2018 TCR Korea Round 1 and TCR Asia Round 4 - Race 8 continues on an extremely wet Korea International Circuit (KIC). In contrast to Race 1’s dismal results, the #87 Indigo Racing Hyundai i30N TCR of Kang Byung Hui took the top spot on podium having overtaken
#20 BrandNew Racing’s Andrew Kim right off the bat.

In second was the #103 KMSA Motorsport Hyundai i30N TCR of Kang DongWoo who started out from the pits due to mechanical problems. The final spot on podium was taken by the #101 DreamRacer Racing Team Honda Civic FK7 TCR of Kim Byoung Hyun.

Andrew Kim who won Race 1 only managed a fourth place in Race 2 for BrandNew Racing due to poor visibility from a badly fogged up windscreen. Behind him was the #97 Indigo Racing Hyundai i30N TCR with Cho Hoon Hyun and finally, Cup class, #16 E-rain Motorsport Hyundai i30N TCR of Lee Do Hyeon - who found himself in the lead at the end of Race 2.

The slight drizzle during the morning progressed into a moderate shower but that did little to dampen the competitive spirit amongst the drivers of the inaugural TCR Korea Touring Car Series. The session had the safety car come out and yellow flags shown throughout due several incidents which thankfully did not result in anything serious.
